World Wheelchair Games Closing

I'd just like to say how pleased we have been to be the venue where the first marriage if you will of wheelchair and amputee sports has proved to be such a good, exciting union. I'm told that the general consensus is that it has added to both in a positive and inclusive way.

I think sometime this week we have already pointed out that Christchurch is the Number two venue for conferences, conventions and events such as this in New Zealand. Like the old rental car ad that does make us try harder.

I am under strict instruction not to even think about trampling on protocol and announcing these Games over. So I won't.

Instead, I'll conclude by saying I hope we see many of you back here again in 2006, when hopefully we will have become Number One.
