reality to have Savour New Zealand take place here in Christchurch.

has many different claims to fame ranging from the world’s
top Garden City through to the City that Shines.

multiple personality disorder as a city, we should be prepared
to add one for Canterbury as the Pantry province
of
New Zealand.
Perhaps our first iconic entry into the global food chain
came with the naming and export of Canterbury Lamb.
To this original
first hint of the fine flavours and quality you can get from
Canterbury, you can now add a huge range of fine
foods and wine.
Increasingly we are a niche marketer exporting
into the global markets.
Savour New Zealand gives us all, local
,national and international, a chance to see and taste first
hand our superb array of edible
and potable delights.
In a bulk volume fast food world we are
instead a slow food, high quality corner of the world where just
for once the
quality of the
cuisine matches the beauty of the natural setting.
